The Experience
Be clear about what this is before you book. It is a children's day out that adults are welcome to join, not a scenic cruise with a pirate flag on top. An animation team works the deck for most of the trip and the noise level reflects that, so couples after a quiet sail should ask us about the relax boat instead. For families it is hard to beat. Free face painting turns every small passenger into a pirate, a secret map sends them hunting treasure around the deck, and the running joke of the day is the chase after Ferhat, the pirate who never quite gets away. In between there is tug-of-war, music, Halay dancing and, once the afternoon warms up, a foam party. The ship leaves in the morning and drifts down the river to the delta, where icy fresh water lies alongside the warm salty Mediterranean and the whole family can swim. Lunch is aimed squarely at children — spaghetti, chicken fingers, fish fingers — so fussy eaters are covered. Air-conditioned transfers to and from your hotel are included, as are the guides, the animation team and insurance for every guest. Drinks from the onboard bar, professional photos and video, and snacks beyond the lunch menu are not. A licensed captain and certified crew handle everything afloat.
