Quad Safari from Side — A Test Drive First, Then the Forest and the Mud
The Experience
Whoever can handle the machine drives it. That is why every rider does a supervised test lap at our station first, watched by an instructor. Solo riders are 16 and over, passengers ride from age 6 with the belt done up, and back or neck trouble means the passenger seat. The driver needs ID at the base. The transfer picks you up in Side and runs out to our safari station, back in the pine country behind the hotel strip. Briefing, helmet (compulsory, issued there), test lap, then one and a half to two hours out. The trail dives in under the trees, bucks over roots and wheel ruts, then hits standing water and deep mud that comes off the tyres in sheets. Old dark clothes and fully closing shoes are the sensible choice: nobody comes back clean. Where it eases off you get open ground in the Taurus foothills, high above the resorts. Showers and changing cabins at the base are free, and they are the reason we ask for a towel and a complete change of clothes. The whole outing runs about three hours. There are three departures a day and we confirm your slot personally after you book. €25 for adults and €15 for children covers the transfer, the briefing, the test lap, the riding time and the wash-up. Goggles and bandanas are sold at the station; food, drinks and photography are extra. A second track along the river, with water crossings, is priced differently. Ask, and we will quote it before anything is paid.
