The Experience
Eight hours with rafting, a zipline and a quad in them is a lot, and we would rather say so now. We do not recommend this combination to pregnant guests, very small children, or anyone with a serious back, heart or mobility problem. There are gentler days along this coast and we will happily move you onto one. Everything happens inside the Köprülü Canyon National Park. The river comes first: 12 kilometres between the canyon walls, rapids alternating with flat scenic water, a guide in every raft, and helmet, life jacket and paddle handed out at the base after the safety briefing. Then the zipline, 400 to 800 metres of harnessed flight straight across the canyon, with the crew clipping you in and checking the harness before you go. The quad stage runs about 40 minutes over dusty and muddy tracks in the Taurus foothills, after a briefing and with the group behind a guide. Afterwards everyone sits down to lunch by the river, which is in the price. €38 for adults, €23 for children. That includes the return transfer from your Side hotel, instructors for all three activities, the full set of safety equipment and passenger and activity insurance. Photographs and video from the base team, every drink of the day, soft and alcoholic alike, and personal spending are not included. Pack sunscreen and sunglasses, shoes that cope with water, a towel, something to swim in, and clothes whose ruin you can live with. There is no prepayment.
