The Experience
Two swims make this trip and the first one is the strange one. At the Boğaz river mouth the boat anchors exactly where cold river water pours into the warm Mediterranean, and you can cross from one to the other in a few strokes. Guests talk about that stop for the rest of the holiday. Before it comes the quiet part: an air-conditioned run down from your hotel, then a slow drift along the river with the banks sliding past. The boat casts off at 10:00 and is back in the harbour between 16:30 and 17:00, so this is a half-day appetite rather than a whole day gone. Lunch is grilled on board while you dry off — chicken, rice or pasta, salad and bread. Then we head out to Dolphin Island for the second, longer anchorage. Wild dolphins and protected Caretta Caretta turtles live in this water. Some days they surface beside the hull; plenty of days they do not, and we will not pretend otherwise. The run home is the foam party. Because we operate the boat rather than resell it, we can be blunt about money: from €21 a head, infants free, settled on the day. Drinks come from the bar on board and are not in the fare, and neither are photographs, souvenirs or the all-inclusive drinks package. Nothing else gets added. Licensed captain, certified crew and full-day insurance are simply part of it.

What does the Side Dolphin Island boat tour include?+

Will we definitely see dolphins and turtles?+
We sail into the natural habitat of wild dolphins and Caretta Caretta sea turtles, so sightings are very possible, but because these are wild animals we can never promise them. On a lucky day you may spot them swimming right by the boat.

Yes. The cruise is calm and the swimming stops suit all ages, so it is a relaxed, fun day out for families. Children pay a reduced fare and infants travel free.
What should I bring and are meals provided?+
