The Experience
Here the timings are written down rather than promised. You leave early from your hotel in the Side region, the exact hour depending on where you are staying and confirmed with you personally once you have booked, and an air-conditioned vehicle takes you along the coast to Adrasan. There is a breakfast break at Adrasan before boarding. Buy something at the restaurant or eat what you brought with you; it is not part of the fare, and we would rather you knew that now than found out at the table. The boat leaves the Adrasan shore at 09:40. Two bays follow, the first for a swim in genuinely clear water, the second for another swim while the crew serves lunch at anchor. Suluada is the point of the day. White beaches, the Love Cave to look into, and free time to swim and lie in the sun before the return leg, which includes one final stop in the water. The boat is tied up again at Adrasan port around 16:00, and vehicles run everyone home. Ten hours in all. Lunch is chicken or grilled fish, pasta or rice alongside, plus mezes — stuffed peppers, vine leaves, lentil patties — a seasonal salad, then fruit and Turkish tea. Only the bar adds to the €40, with that optional breakfast and your own beach kit. Children join from six, younger ones sail free with an adult watching them on deck, and nothing is sold on the island. We run the boat ourselves and take nothing in advance.
