Boat Scuba Diving in Alanya: Two Guided Dives with PADI-Certified Instructors
The Experience
You do not have to turn up as one thing or the other here, a diver or a complete novice. That is why we keep recommending this day to mixed families and to couples where only one of them has ever put a regulator in their mouth. The morning starts with an air-conditioned transfer from your hotel in Alanya or a resort nearby, arranged with you personally after you book. You board beneath the castle walls and the Red Tower, then run a short way along the coast, past coves and cliffs, to the reefs off Cleopatra Beach. Kit is fitted on deck, all of it ours: mask, wetsuit, tank, weights. First-timers then go down at the instructor's shoulder for a gentle confidence dive, while certified guests follow the divemaster through swim-throughs, rocky overhangs and small caves where bream and wrasse feed and the occasional moray shows itself. Between the two dives the boat becomes the point of the day. Snorkel straight off the stern, drift about in the shallows, then eat a hot lunch on board with drinking water provided while the Taurus mountains sit on the horizon. Two dives are included and any further ones are charged separately, as are soft drinks, tea, coffee, alcohol and tips. No alcohol before diving; each descent has its own short briefing. Pregnancy, heart or serious respiratory conditions rule it out. You pay on the tour day and may cancel free up to 24 hours ahead.

Do I need any diving experience to join?+
Not at all. The trip is designed for complete beginners as well as certified divers. First-timers stay close to a PADI-certified instructor for a gentle confidence dive, so you can try scuba safely even if you've never breathed underwater before.
Is the diving equipment included?+
Yes. All scuba gear is provided, including your wetsuit, mask, tanks and weights, along with a professional PADI-certified instructor and boat crew. Just bring your swimwear.
How many dives are included and how long does the day last?+
The day includes two guided boat dives and lasts about 7 hours, with snorkelling, swimming and a hot lunch on board in between. Any dives beyond the two included are not part of the price.
Is hotel pickup provided?+
Yes. Round-trip hotel transfer from Alanya and nearby resorts is included, using comfortable air-conditioned vehicles that bring you to the harbour and back.
Who should not take part in the diving?+
For safety reasons the diving is not suitable for pregnant women or guests with heart or serious respiratory conditions. Alcohol before diving is not allowed, and a short safety briefing is given before each dive.
