Scuba Diving from Antalya: Two Guided Dives over Reefs and Caves
The Experience
What turns a nervous first-timer into a diver happens in shallow water, long before anything deep. That supervised session comes early on this eight-hour day out of central Antalya: breathing, buoyancy, and staying there until you are genuinely comfortable rather than merely willing. Divers who already hold a card move straight on, though do bring it with you. Getting there is uncomplicated. An air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your hotel in the city centre and runs you down to the harbour, where the boat is waiting. Pickup varies from one hotel to the next, so yours is confirmed with you personally after booking rather than guessed at here. Two guided dives follow, along rocky reefs and narrow crevices with bream and damselfish drifting past, and a PADI guide stays beside you for both. The pace is yours. Between and after them the deck is the point: lunch is served on board, drinking water is there throughout, and there is time to swim and dry off before the boat turns for home. The fare covers the whole kit, wetsuit through to regulator, plus diving insurance and the harbour fees that so often surface later as an extra. Not covered: further dives, soft drinks, tea, alcohol, the photo and video service, tips and personal spending. Adults €50, children 4-11 €30, infants nothing. Diving is unwise if you are pregnant or have a heart, ear or lung condition, and nobody dives after a drink. Pay on the tour day; free cancellation 24 hours ahead.
