The Experience

The drive up from Alanya buys you a day in the cooler Taurus, where the river and a working off-road track happen to lie side by side — so you get both without a second transfer and a second morning. The water comes first. Fourteen kilometres of Grade II–III rapids between emerald canyon walls, with quiet pools along the route where the boat pauses and you can swim. Helmet, life jacket and paddle are provided, and non-swimmers are welcome in the raft: the jackets stay on the whole way. After lunch beside the river the day moves onto land. You take a two-seater buggy and follow the escort along dusty forest tracks and through shallow streams, and every driver is briefed properly before setting off. Whether you drive comes down to ability alone: drivers must be 18 or over, and anyone younger, or anyone who would simply rather not, takes the second seat. As the operator we would rather be plain about the gaps. A towel and dry clothes are not supplied, so bring your own; the dust scarf and goggles for the buggy leg are available at the base but sit outside the price, as do drinks, photographs and tips. Adults €38, children 4 to 11 €23, infants under four free, and you settle up on the day.
