Scuba Diving from Kemer: A Full Day and Two Relaxed Boat Dives
The Experience
There are two ways to dive out of Kemer, and this is the long one: eight hours, so the schedule never has to hurry anybody. Pickup covers hotels in Kemer, Beldibi, Goynuk and Tekirova, and the drive down to the harbour goes past the marina with the Taurus mountains dropping straight into the sea beside you. If eight hours is more day than you want, we also run a shorter seven-hour boat dive from the same coast. At anchor over a sunlit reef, your PADI-certified instructor walks the group through a calm briefing and shows you how breathing underwater actually works. No licence, no previous experience, nothing to prepare. Underwater the visibility does the work: light moving across submerged rock formations, bright reef fish crossing your mask, and now and then an octopus or a moray showing itself in a crevice. Two dives, instructor at your side for both. Lunch is freshly prepared and served on board while the boat rocks at anchor, with a swim stop and time simply to sit in the sun and look at mountains meeting water. One boundary worth stating outright: the transfer covers those four resorts only, and pickup from outside the Kemer region is not part of the price. Nor are drinks on board, underwater photos and video, tips or personal spending. The fare is €43 for adults, less for four- to eleven-year-olds and nothing for under-threes. Not suitable with heart, ear or serious respiratory conditions. You pay on the tour day, and cancelling 24 hours ahead is free.
