Boat Scuba Diving from Kumköy: Two Guided Dives on the Side Coast
The Experience
No experience is needed, but you do need to be able to swim. Everything else comes with the boat: mask, snorkel, fins and tank, plus a certified instructor who briefs you first and stays beside you underwater. Depths hold between roughly 5 and 10 metres, which is where the rocky reefs, the small caves and most of the fish are anyway. There are two dives, and between them sits a proper day on the water. Pickup from Kumköy or a resort nearby, a short drive to the marina, then out into the Gulf of Antalya to a sheltered anchorage. In the gap you have deck time, a swim off the side and lunch on board with drinking water. We keep the group to a maximum of twenty, which is why booking ahead matters more here than on the big boats. Anyone in your party who does not dive is welcome aboard to swim and watch. Adults €43, children €30; infants aged 0 to 3 come free and 4 to 11 pay the child price. Dive insurance is included, as are the transfer and the lunch. Soft drinks, alcohol and extra snacks, additional dives, underwater photo and video, tips and personal spending are not. If you have a heart, ear or respiratory condition, this is not the day for you, and nobody dives after alcohol. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, and you pay on the day itself.
