The Experience

The galleon is the reason to pick this one. It is a multi-deck wooden ship, so there is a shaded lower deck when the sun turns serious and an open top deck for everyone who wants it, and it sails out of the Manavgat River rather than off the beach. Casting off is at 10:00. The day is written for children aged three and up. A costumed animation team keeps live music and games running throughout, and when the ship anchors in the river delta everyone goes ashore, where the sand fills with pirate shows, rope-pulling contests, a hunt for buried treasure and free face painting. Swimming happens at the same shallow spot, river water and warm sea in one place. Life jackets are compulsory for children and an adult has to be watching. Lunch is cooked on board from a child-friendly menu, the foam party takes the deck later, and the whole thing runs to about seven hours door to door. Your morning collection time is agreed with you personally after booking. One thing to plan for: every drink, water and tea included, is bought at the bar, so carry cash. Ice cream, snacks and the professional photos are extra too. Maritime insurance, life jackets in all sizes, lunch and the transfer are already covered.
