Private boat hire has a reputation for vague pricing: a headline number online, then a very different figure once transfers, food and "service fees" appear. As Atalay Tours, the local operator running these boats out of Side, we would rather show you the real structure up front. Every figure below comes straight from our own listings, and because you book with a free reservation and pay on the day of the tour, there is no deposit at risk while you decide.
The three price tiers in Side
Traditional wooden boat or yacht: from €400 for the boat
The most affordable way to get a whole boat to yourselves is our Side Private VIP Yacht & Wooden Boat Tour. Private charters start from €400 for the boat, not per person. The traditional wooden boat and the luxury yacht run the same programme, so the vessel you pick and the size of your group set the final figure: we put it in writing before you commit, and infants travel free. The day runs roughly four to six hours from the Manavgat River to the Side Peninsula coast, and availability is strictly on request, so the earlier you ask for a date, the better.
Luxury motor yacht: from €640
The Luxury Motor Yacht full-day charter is a 24-metre yacht with captain and crew, reserved exclusively for your group of up to 25 guests. It is listed from €640, runs about six hours, and the whole programme can shift to the evening on request so you sail back at sunset: the reason it is our most-requested boat for proposals and anniversaries.
Private gulet: from €750
The Private Gulet Charter is the big-group answer: a 28-metre traditional wooden gulet that takes anything from a small family up to around 50 guests, for about seven hours on the water. Listed from €750, it works out remarkably reasonable per head once a large birthday or family-reunion party fills the deck.
What the price actually includes
- Boat, captain and crew: every option is exclusively yours; no strangers on board.
- Fuel and port fees, included on the motor yacht, and fuel for the standard Manavgat River and Side coastal route is included on the VIP boat.
- Food, lunch or dinner on the yacht with the menu agreed in advance; a lunch menu prepared for your party on the gulet; freshly cooked fish, grilled chicken, meatballs, mezes and salads on the VIP boat.
- Travel insurance, included on the yacht and gulet charters.
- Safety equipment and sunbeds on deck.
What costs extra: no surprises on the day
- Drinks. On all three boats drinks are not in the base price. The yacht and gulet have a bar on board, and you may bring one bottle of spirits of your own.
- Hotel transfer. Available on request at extra cost on every option; the VIP boat offers air-conditioned pickup from Kumkoy, Evrenseki, Kizilagac and nearby areas. Exact pickup is confirmed personally the evening before.
- Celebration decoration. Arranged on the gulet if you request it 2–3 days in advance; on the VIP boat, decorations must be pre-ordered.
- Professional photos on the gulet, route extensions beyond the standard VIP itinerary, and personal expenses.
Matching budget to occasion
If you are planning a proposal for two, the motor yacht's sunset return justifies the step up from €640. A milestone birthday with twenty or thirty friends belongs on the gulet, where €750 spread across a big group undercuts almost any venue on land. A family that simply wants a private day afloat without the premium trimmings should start with the wooden boat, the €400 entry to the private tier. If you are still comparing boats, the full line-up sits on our private charter collection page, and our first-timer family guide walks through which vessel suits which group.
The booking terms behind the numbers
Reservation is free, you pay on board on the day, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure on all three charters. If the weather turns, the captain postpones or cancels free of charge: you never pay for a day that cannot safely happen. The yacht and gulet run through the 2026 season from the start of April to the end of October; the VIP wooden-boat programme is available on request year-round.
