Yes — and we will not print a single number
A weight limit applies to every tandem flight in Alanya, ours included. What we will not do is publish one figure and let you plan your holiday around it, because the real limit is set by the wing and harness your pilot flies on the day and by the conditions at launch. Age and weight limits are confirmed with you at booking, and the pilot has the final word at the hill.
So tell us your weight when you enquire. We come back with a yes or a no before you build a day around it — which is more useful than a round number scraped from someone else's equipment list on a calm morning.
Age, consent and who signs what
The Alanya tandem paragliding flight books at €75 per person on the adult rate, which starts at age 13. Children can join subject to safety regulations, a weight check and the pilot's approval, and anyone under 18 needs signed parental consent. The exact limits for your flight are confirmed when you book. If a parent is not travelling with the child, resolve the consent before you arrive rather than at the launch site.
What the flight includes for €75
- Take-off from a hill roughly 700 metres above Alanya and a landing directly on the sand of Cleopatra Beach.
- A licensed tandem pilot who flies the whole thing — no experience required from you at all.
- All flight and safety equipment, a pre-flight briefing and insurance. A backup safety parachute is carried on every flight.
- Hotel pickup and drop-off across the Alanya area, with departures from Side, Belek and Antalya available at a small supplement. Pickup is from your hotel's security gate or directly in front of the hotel; around three hours door to door.
Outside the price: food and drinks, flight photos and video (taken during the flight, shown to you after landing, bought only if you want them), and a female pilot on request at €20 per person, paid in cash on the spot.
Health is your declaration, not a box we tick
The flight is not suitable for guests with medical conditions that prevent flying, and you are responsible for declaring your own health status. Nobody at the hill can assess a condition you have not mentioned. If you are unsure, ask your doctor before you book, not on the morning.
Weather decides the day, every time
Flights run daily, weather permitting. If conditions are unsuitable your flight is held to the next day, rescheduled to a date that suits you, or refunded — and only the pilot judges that. Practical consequence: book the flight for the first half of your holiday. Leave it to the last afternoon and a windy day turns your one chance into a refund.
Reservation is free, you pay on the tour day, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the flight.
Who should not book a tandem flight
- Anyone whose doctor has advised against flying. Straightforwardly not for you.
- Travellers who need a guaranteed time slot on a guaranteed day. Weather governs the schedule and always will.
- Under-18s without signed parental consent in place before the day.
- Anyone unwilling to share their weight at booking. We cannot confirm a flight we cannot check.
- People wanting a whole day out. This is a roughly three-hour outing built around a flight, not a full excursion.
If somebody in the group cannot fly
Do not leave them at the pool. The Alanya city tour runs on set days — currently Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays — for €43 per adult and €25 per child aged 4–12, with infants free. It is eight hours with a morning hotel pickup, the 13th-century castle with a professional guide, the cable car down the hillside, an hour-long boat trip around the castle peninsula, a lunch stop beside the Dim River and free time in the bazaar.
One honest caveat straight from the tour record: most departures include the riverside lunch and the cable car ticket, but on certain dates one or the other is arranged separately on the day — your booking confirmation states exactly what your date covers. Drinks and the Damlataş Cave entrance are extra.
