One Spare Day in Side: Attraction Day or Show Evening?

The one-spare-day decision: give the daylight to Land of Legends or the aquarium, keep only the evening for a €19 night show or Fire of Anatolia — or take the midday dolphin run and keep half the beach day.

Day out or evening out: the short answer

If you can happily give up the daylight, spend it at The Land of Legends theme park — the €85 ticket-and-transfer day runs every day of the week from the whole Side corridor. If the beach day is sacred, keep all of it and spend only the evening: the Land of Legends night show goes every evening at €19, and Fire of Anatolia at the Aspendos theatre plays Tuesdays and Fridays at €65. And there is a third way most guests miss: the dolphin show collects at midday, so the morning on the beach survives intact.

Every time in this guide is a zone's first pickup from the weekly timetable — the earliest collection in that zone, not your hotel's slot, which is confirmed after booking.

The daytime column

Land of Legends park day — every day, €85

The full commitment: entrance ticket, return transfer and a whole free day inside Turkey's biggest theme park — water slides for every nerve level, wave pools, the Dolphin, Beluga & Walrus show and a 5D cinema, all in the ticket. Children aged 4 to 11 pay €70 and infants up to 3 go free. First pickups run from 07:50 in Kızılot to 09:15 in Gündoğdu, and the vehicle takes you back at the park's late-afternoon closing. Lunch, lockers and the optional fast-track pass are extra.

Dolphin show — every day, midday, €40

The half-measure that keeps the beach morning: first pickups run from 11:35 in Kızılot to 13:00 in Gündoğdu. A licensed dolphin park about forty minutes from Side, roughly an hour of dolphins and sea lions performing, and an optional pre-booked swim with a trainer at your side. Adults €40, children aged 3 to 10 €35, and the youngest watch free.

Antalya Aquarium — Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, €73

The weather-proof half day: around two to two and a half hours at your own pace under the 131-metre glass tunnel, with more than 10,000 marine creatures in over 40 themed tanks. Ticket and return transfer are bundled; adults pay €73, children €60, and the venue is step-free and stroller-friendly. First pickups run from 08:30 in Kızılot to 09:45 in Gündoğdu.

The evening column

Land of Legends night show — every evening, €19

The cheapest big evening on the coast: an illuminated boat parade, choreographed fountains and lasers over the 111-metre castle, with free time on the Shopping Avenue either side. Adults €19, children aged 4 to 11 €13. First pickups run from 17:40 in Kızılot to 19:15 in Gündoğdu. Two honest notes from the conditions: the boat parade is not staged every single evening, and the park sets show times seasonally — the schedule for your date is confirmed at booking.

Fire of Anatolia at Aspendos — Tuesday and Friday, €65

Over a hundred dancers on the stage of a second-century Roman theatre built for some 15,000 spectators — no dialogue, so it works in any language. The performance starts at 21:00, and first pickups run from 18:40 in Kızılot to 19:55 in Gündoğdu. Adults pay €65; a child's seat on the transfer option is €30. Seating is on the theatre's original stone tiers and the venue is open-air — evenings can turn cool even in summer, so bring a layer.

One decision this page deliberately leaves elsewhere

If your shortlist has already narrowed to the Land of Legends itself — park day against night show — that trade-off has its own dedicated guide: Land of Legends, day or night. This page stays catalogue-wide.

Who each column does not suit

The daytime column is the wrong call if you count your holiday in beach hours — with the honourable exception of the midday dolphin run — or if the family arithmetic stings: the park day for two adults and two children is €310, against €64 for the same four at the night show. The evening column has its own limits: Fire of Anatolia starts at 21:00 and suits night owls better than toddlers, and both evening venues use powerful sound and stage lighting, which the conditions flag for sensitive guests — with babies, stand back from the speakers at the night show. One scope note: the days and pickup windows on this page are the Side–Manavgat corridor timetable; Fire of Anatolia also offers transfer options from the Antalya, Belek, Kemer and Alanya areas per its own listing.

The honest way to use one spare day

Beach families do best with the dolphin pattern: a full morning on the sand, a midday pickup, back in time for dinner. Thrill-seekers give up the day and take the park. Couples keep the whole day and book Fire of Anatolia on a Tuesday or Friday. And if your week has room for more than one spare day, see what runs on which day across a full week in Side, or the companion guide to what runs in the evenings.
